The only thing that I did differently than in her recipe is the rice. The recipe called for 2 c. wild rice. I didn't have any wild rice and didn't want to pay $6 for a tiny container. So instead, I bought some Near East Long Grain and Wild Rice mix. I cooked it up without the seasoning mix and added it to the soup. This made the soup thick and yummy!

I tried a creamy chicken and wild rice recipe last fall from Pinterest and it was just OK. I will definitely be trying yours. Did you put the slivered almonds in it?
